How Does My Garden Grow?

Now that the weather is just right for planting. I bought some small rose plants, succulents, and annuals
and went to work this past weekend.

My garden space is very limited do to the amount of clay soil that I have. There is no getting around it, I have a clay problem... This year I thought instead of planting in the ground, I would make individual gardens, in pots.

Whenever I plant directly into the clay, and no matter how much good potting soil that I mix with it, the clay
takes over. So, hopefully this "pot planting" idea
is the trick.

Fascinators..

A Fascinator is a headpiece. The word originally refered to a fine, lacy head covering. Bigger than a barrette, modern fascinators are commonly made with feathers, flowers
or beads.
In modern usage, it referes to a  woman's alternative to a hat for formal attire; it is usually a large hair decoration on a band or clip with elaborate trimmings and decoration like a formal hat and can incorporate a base to make a
miniture hat.
They can be worn towards the front of the head or
on the side.

These are my creations

Another Adventure In Collages

This time I tried Seahorses and obtained some interesting facts. Seahorses are truly unique, not just because of their unusal shape, but because they are monogamous and mate for life. They are the only animal species on earth in which the male bears the unborn young. The number of young released by the male seahorse averages 100-200 for most species.

An Owl Of A Different Color.

Here is the latest in my Mixed Media Collage Adventure.
It is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and it is on a stretched canvas.

An owl is a creature of the night.
Nocturnal creatures are symbolic of inner knowing, psychic ability and intuition.
Keep in mind that animals are only called to those who share the same energy. You may hold within you some of the same symbolic attrabutes the owl represents.
