Yes, What would you do with collections that you are no longer interested in?
I started this collection for my daughter when she was a small child. These are
Boyds Bears.
They could be worth something to someone....But what do I do?
This is a collection of...Yes, Mickey Mouse. This collection was started after we took her to Disney World for the first time. Other friends helped with this collection along the way. What do I do with this one? Please, I need ideas...
This is my collection of buttons. I've had these for many years and I'm not ready to give them up.
They are easily stored in a huge jug, taking up very little space.
Until dumping them out on the table to go through them for a project.
These are all glass and jet buttons.
Here are a few vintage buttons.
I estimate that I have over 2000 buttons.
What do you collect?
I also have a collection of very old keys that my dad started for me. I still have those but will blog about them another time.

My friend, it is so hard to know what to do! I have to admit, my mom and I have been going through things and we have gave a lot to charity! Goodwill, Ronald McDonald House, gifts for children at christmas. A charity that means something to you? Or, you could try selling some. I don't know if you would make anything from the collections? Do what your heart tells you. I know my mom had some Boyds Bears, she sold two for $5.00 a piece and gave the others to charity. I would love to see your old keys. The buttons, if you want to keep them, I would buy a shadow box, fill it and then you could display them. It would be a cool piece of art! Let us know what happens with everything!
Linda - What fun collections!
I have been de-cluttering my house lately and took 2 huge truck loads to charity. Hard to live with so much Clutter.
I collected coins since I was a kid but am selling them, I never look at them!
I also collect old Keys and locks, so if you find yourself selling them I may be interested depending on the cost.
You could throw your Mickey Mouse & Bear stuff on Ebay, I bet there are other collectors... might get you some spare change!
Good advice ladies...Thank you so much. things are in the works.
oh that's a tough one. A friend of mines Mother passed away recently and has a huge bear collection. No one wanted the Boyds beaRS when they had an Estate sale. The Disney stuff might go well on E bay or Etsy.
Love your buttons. I wouldn't get rid of those either!
Hugs Lynn
I am so like you. I hate to get rid of things that I have collected over the years but sometimes we just reach a point that we run out of room storing them. On more valuable things I like to try selling them on Ebay. Otherwise, off to Goodwill they go. Hugs!
